The last day was an early day for all, we tried our best to get there early and we almost did. We arrived at Magic Kingdom at 7:45 and the welcome show was already starting. We were not able to get into the turnstiles before “rope drop” but we were pretty close. Since it was an early magic hour, the crowd was much lighter at 8 am then it was the prior day at 9 am opening. It was a great morning as we were able to get a lot accomplished (14 attractions) between 8 am and noon, before leaving for a midday break. The following is a list of the attractions we completed in the morning:
Tommorowland Speedway x 2
Astro Orbitor
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin x 2
Splash Mountain
Haunted Mansion
Magic Carpets
Alladin and Jasmine meet and greet
Goofy’s Barnstormer
Goofy and Donald meet and greet
Daisey and Minnie meet and greet
Mad Tea Party
Meet and Greet with Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny
As we were leaving for the break, I decided to take a few pictures to get an idea of how crowded the park was at midday.
We took a lengthy break and packed our clothes for our trip home in the morning. We also had to make a few stops on the way back to the park, so we arrived back at Magic Kingdom at 8:00 PM for our 8:20 fast pass for Town Square Mickey. Town Square Mickey was quite a disappointment, as Mickey has been talking an interacting with guest now for the past couple years, however Mickey was not talking on our visit this time. The following is a list of the remainder of the night:
Town Square Mickey
Mainstreet Electrical Parade
Space Mountain
Wishes
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad x 2
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
We ended up leaving the park a little after midnight and we were completely exhausted. We ended up with 3 out of 4 kids sleeping on the monorail (pics below). The only one that was awake was Tinely (6 months). As usual, the parking lot was pretty empty by the time we arrived to get our car. Over all, it was not a bad day. We did a total of 21 attractions in 8 hours, 14 in the morning and 7 in the evening.
Over all, it was a great trip. We were able to have a cousin join us that has never been to Disney, and our great neighbors and friends as well. The kids had a blast despite the extra large crowds that were present. Even a crowded Disney vacation can be a great one if you set your expectations accordingly. Until June, bye bye Disney World, our home away from home.
