Announcements to come next week

News 13 from Orlando, will be covering several announcements beginning next week at Disney World as part of the 3 day summer media event.

On Monday, Disney is expected to unveil a preview of a fourth area at Disney Springs called the Town Center, expected to open this summer. The “neighborhood” will feature new dining, shopping and entertainment options. The company says Town Center will be the largest retail expansion at Disney World Resort.

Tuesday, there will be a closer look at the new attractions and entertainment at three parks: Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Frozen Ever After is in the Norway pavilion at Epcot where Maelstrom used to be. The attraction will be a boat ride that takes guest on a journey through Arendelle. Part of the Norway pavilion is also expanding to include a meet-and-greet location so guests can meet movie characters Anna and Elsa.

And on Wednesday, Disney Parks executives will provide updates on the company’s upcoming Avatar, Toy Story and Star Wars lands, as well as progress — and perhaps a launch date? — on Epcot’s Soarin’ ride, closed for months for a refresh.

Several attractions were due to open Spring and Summer of 2016.  Several of these have also been delayed slightly.  We can only wonder what big announcements may come of the 3 day media event.  Below is a list of new attractions we could hope to here updates on.
